Rock Valley College and the Northwest Community Center are
offering
FREE computer
classes!
Target Population:
Participant population will include at-risk youth, especially children attending
poverty schools and low-income adults and senior residents in the west and
northwest quadrant of Rockford, IL, corresponding to the service region of
Northwest Community Center.
Training Location:
Northwest Community Center's Community Technology Center (C.T.C.) located at
1325 North Johnston Avenue, Rockford, IL.
Training Schedule:
The training schedule will be offered in a flexible format including daytime,
evening and weekend offerings. The average adult participant is expected
to participate in 24 hours of training.
Classes offered:
Adults: Basic Computers and Windows,
Keyboarding, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Project Based
Classes including (Resume, Job Search and Budgets).
Children: Internet
Research grades 5-6, Internet grades 1-4, Keyboarding grades 5-6, Computer Math
grades 1-4, Computer Fun w/ paint grades 1-4, Power Point grades 5-6, Computer
Fun w/ Print Artist grades 1-4 and Computer Fun w/ Print Artist grades 5-6.
There
are still opening for both Children and Adult classes.
